Ross Dawson heeft op zijn weblog een alleraardigst raamwerk gepositioneerd rondom het Web 2.0 fenomeen. Het raamwerk poogt “to provide a clear, concise view of the nature of Web 2.0, particularly for senior executives or other non-technical people who are trying to grasp the scope of Web 2.0, and the implications and opportunities for their organizations.”
Het raamwerk bestaat in zijn totaliteit uit een drietal onderdelen: het raamwerk, definities en het omliggende applicatie landschap. Dit alles voorzien van een drietal figuren.
